Production Procedures:
Materials: natural silk from silk worm cocoon;
Spinning: to choose raw silk and make into warp;
Steaming: to make the raw silk and warp into ripe silk and warp;
Dyeing: to dye the silk into different colors;
Designing: According to carpet size, the designer draws the patterns on the paper and choose colors for the patterns to make them harmony;
Warping: to stretch the warps on the looms tightly;
Weaving: Weavers make the carpets by hand knots. Averagely one weaver can make 6000 knots per day and one square feet silk carpets will takes one weaver about 15 days to finish. For example, one 8x10 silk carpet, it will takes 3 weavers more than 16 months to make and finish it.
Shearing: After the carpet is finished, it will be sheared by machine and hand scissors to make it smooth.
Washing: After shearing, the carpet will be washed in the water to make it clean, soft and shinning.
Finishing: After washing, the carpet will be repaired on face, back, edges. After this process, the carpets is finished and are ready for sales.
